The impacts of social distancing, closed State borders and general travel restrictions were deeply felt during the COVD 19 pandemic. As authorities warned towards the end of COVID 19 associated restrictions, the risk of pandemics will continue to exist.

Therefore ALAB's maintains a policy that if ever another pandemic occurs, we will scheduled assessments via remote ICT (Information Communication Technology), comprising reviews of documented information combined with videoconferencing meetings.

It is recognized that certain evaluation tasks (such as witnessing the conduct of testing or calibration activities) may not be reliable without physical presence of the Technical Assessor and therefore, Assessments may be conducted in two parts - a remote ICT assessment concentrating on on non-technical matters followed by a physical visit after return to normal conditions.
